Dear Bella A Friends and Family,
For us, 2013 is a fresh start and our resolution is to launch the new bella A boutique.
You will still have the same warm, inviting, shopping experience as you have always had but now it's going to represent you better. As a local boutique, we have tried to learn the styles, fit and price points that you are looking for. And we are buying for you: the modern stylish woman while still accommodating to your lifestyle.
We acknowledge many lessons that we have learned and we would like to share
a few of the refined changes we have made as of the last 6 months:
In the beginning we had an excessive assortment of premium denim as well as a few designer collections such as Trina Turk. As much as we loved carrying these brands, we came to realize that it was not apart of the everyday lifestyle of our fabulous Arvada ladies. Not to mention the price point of this denim and apparel. We have vetoed some of the higher price point designer labels (without sacrificing quality) and have downsized our denim to only carrying a few lines from only a few brands of denim: such as KUT from the Kloth, Grace in L.A., and the Liverpool Jean Company.
We will continue to have some of the great brands that you know and love that can be beautiful investment pieces such as Covelo, Desigual, Ivy Jane, Mary Frances and Chan Luu. We have also added a few others recently such asKrimson Klover and Snoskins that are also at a price point exceeding $100.These brands and prices will be less than 50% of the inventory. Our focus now has been trying to find good quality and fashionable brands in the $30+ price point. We have found a few staples that have been working such as Last Tango, Lucky Brand Tops, Kut from Kloth and we have recently added Sweet Pea. We are anticipating two new brands coming in this Spring/Summer season - Boo Radleyas well as YEST.
In finding our own buying eye for the women of Arvada, we have found common ground in East Coast, Funky European Style, and California Boho. The most fun part about all of this has been talking to all of you and seeing what YOU want to see in the store. Our open mind about what you want to see will continue. The clothing industry is one that is so broad it is easy to get excited, overbuy, and with so many fun genres of fashion offered to you it is a feat to choose! In the bottoms category we have found two items that you have been looking for and cannot get enough of. A very successful legging brand, Lysse Leggings, as well as a staple pant brand, Lisette L. These sizes are offered from S-3X and 2-16 in order to increase our success with items fitting more of our customers. We can special order both of these brands. I am really excited about the Lisette L shorts and capris coming in for spring/summer.
In finding our niche in the community, we have always loved to support ourlocal Denver designers as well as women in the Arvada community in their jewelry design. We are now buying more from traditional accessory vendors to complement the outfits and that fit into the current style in the store. We will continue to have local vendor jewelry as well as carrying Brighton, Chan Luu and other brands. With Brighton
we are trying to represent their more unique fashions. We also always have the ability to special order any Brighton piece.
We have taken a different approach to shoes in the past year or so and are now buying with the mentality to complete outfits as well as test styles of shoes for you and special order them for you as well. With the traditional size runs available (size 7-9) if you love them and need a different size we can always order them for you! We could bring in lots of crazy funky really unique shoes that you will buy, wear once, and take off half way through your evening, but we decided against that and instead opted for the comfort and style of Sofft, the casual Colorado chic of Corral Cowboy Boots and the amazingly fashionable I could walk everywhere in FitFlops.
In increasing our turnover so we can receive even more fabulous things in the store for you to choose from, we have partnered with Shoptiques.com out of New York City. We have proudly been the first boutique in Colorado to be selected by them to sell on their website. They are the absolute center of boutique fashion. As well as Shoptiques we have softly launched our online bella A web store in October and we are working on updating it as much as we can to keep our inventory current.
Even though we are online our focus will always be on making bella A your local go to boutique. We would like to invite you to think of us for your next event. Your next girl's day out, Stella and Dot, Silpada, Mary Kay party, or even if you just have friends in town and want to have a cup of coffee. We can host any type of event at the store. We have hosted fashion shows, book clubs, B12 shots, trunk shows, and financial seminars. Our goal for the store is to be your home away from home! Aesthetically our entire store is on wheels and can be moved to accommodate most any event. On a side note, we are also in the process of bringing in our lighting specialist to correct the lighting and make it a brighter place for you to enjoy and shop!
In addition, I wanted to extend our extreme thanks to Courtney Maynard for her time and effort introducing bella A boutique to Arvada. Courtney has moved on to new adventures. We wish her luck in those adventures and we will miss her and Payton hanging out with us.
While all of these resolutions call for a relaunch of bella A boutique, on January 24, 2013, while we have told you all about it, we would love for you to come join us and celebrate this new beginning with us. There will be food and beverage provided, we hope to see you there and thank you for this opportunity!
